How to Install an SSL Certificate in cPanel

An SSL certificate secures your website with HTTPS, protects your visitors’ data, and boosts SEO. If your hosting includes cPanel, installing SSL is quick and simple.

1. Log in to cPanel

Access cPanel from your Client Area or at yourdomain.com/cpanel.

2. Open the SSL/TLS Manager

In the Security section, click on SSL/TLS or Let’s Encrypt SSL (depending on your host).

3. Select Your Domain

Choose the domain you want to secure from the dropdown menu.

4. Install SSL

Click the install or issue button. cPanel will automatically request, validate, and install the certificate.

5. Test HTTPS

Visit https://yourdomain.com to confirm the padlock icon appears. If not, clear your cache or check for mixed content errors.

Next Steps

Make sure all traffic redirects to HTTPS. See our guide to common security mistakes so you don’t leave gaps.
